Greetings JavaBlogs readers

Greetings JavaBlogs readers

Due to inadequacies in the JavaBlogs software I cannot specify which categories from my RSS feed are appropriate for posting on JavaBlogs. Please use the ignore button rather than commenting on everybody’s blogs about some post or another not being Java related.

I’m not sure how many bloggers are affected by these JavaBlog comment spammers but I have seen it several times on my own blog and on Cedric Beust’s blog. I would really really like to limit what entries appear on their site, but alas, I cannot generate an RSS feed for categories. It would seem to be a simple feature that JavaBlogs could add to the system so I could tell them which categories on my site are appropriate for their general membership. However, since that is unavailable, they do offer the option to ignore blogs that you don’t want to read. I suggest that people who don’t want to accidentally see some interesting article on poker tournaments or video cameras or the election process should probably hit ignore on those blogs that sometimes have content a bit broader than Java.

So, rather than posting a comment, you can press that little Red button and forever be free from things non-Java spewed forth by clever individuals like Cedric.

All my our readers who don’t mind a little non-java comment, I send you my thanks and appreciation!
